Dalam tahun 1950-an kejayaan Dr. Cameron telah meloncatkan namanya untuk dilantik sebagai Ketua American Psychological Association (APA), Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) dan The World Psychological Association (WPA). Pada masa itu, OSS sudah bertukar nama atas arahan President Harry Truman dan dikenal pula dengan nama Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Sememanngnya pada 1947 Dr. Cameron telah diberikan kontrak oleh CIA untuk terus melakukan kajian dalam manipulasi perangai/kelakuan di bawah satu nama projek berjodol ‘Bluebird’ dan ‘Artichoke’. Projek ini akhirnya dikenali dengan nama MK-ULTRA pada tahun 1953.

MK-Ultra mempunyai bebrapa program sampingan, yang berjumlah 149 semuanya. Program ini merangkumi kajian biologi, dadah, aktiviti seksual, teknologi, fizik, psikologfi dan perfileman. Adalah bukannya satu kebetulan bahawa filem yang dikeluarkan pada era 1950-an telah diolah begitu rupa untuk menakutkan penonton akan bahaya serangan Komunis, dan pemutaran fikiran makhluk asing (dunia luar). Dunia perfileman Hollywood menjadi satu alat berkesan bagi MK-ULTRA.
